Green Sox Lose Opening Day Heartbreaker
The Green Sox finally open their 2014 season Sunday, April 27th against C-Wireless, despite forecast of rain and wind, after twice having been cancelled. Despite a strong start by Gary Mess, the Green Sox were unable to overcome several defensive miscues, although they left the winning runs in scoring position as the game ended 11-10. Not an ideal start, but the team battled back all day and seemed to have a good chemistry. Stats are up. Next game is Sunday, May 4th vs the MudCats, 4pm at Bear Creek. Go Green Sox!

Opening Day Set for Sunday!
The Green Sox will open their 8th season in the Denver NABA with a home game versus the Bombers. The first pitch set for 9am. The Green Sox will take to the field at Double Angel Varsity in Parker for the first time as a 35 Wood bat division team. The Mess Brothers and returning veterans Joe Werne (7th Season), James Beffel (4th Season) and Gary Hartshorn (2nd Season) welcome a talented new core of players to the team as the team looks to make their mark in the division. After three months of indoor training and three weeks of live scrimmages, draft picks Doug Jones and Reif Faulkner and free agent pick ups Haakon Stepperud, Chuck Federico, Jeff Gilmore, Lonnie Conaway and NABA veteran Dave Kirby are all more than ready to make their impact felt on the team as the Sox battle to win a Championship! Go Green Sox

Scrimmage set for Sunday
The Green Sox continue the preseason with a tuneup game against our old rivals, the Spartans. First pitch will be at 9am at Here to Play Baseball in Denver. With both teams getting ready to dive into the 35 Wood division battle for the first time, it should be a spirited and definitely amusing (especially with Shane Mattox, Spartan manager, behind the dish) contest. Don't miss it!
