This sunday, March 7th, the Green Sox will scrimmage with the BoCo at Monarch High in Louisville at noon. The following week we will have an exhibition game at Sandstone in Longmont, first pitch is at 4pm. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to warm up as we want to be able to start on time to maximize the sun light. Same time and location for the exhibition game on March 21st. We will be playing against division opponents yet to be determined. Everyone will hit and field and all the pitchers will be throwing. These games will get us ready to go so don't miss out! | NABA League Meeting Last Night

 Messy and I attended the second manager's meeting last night. Our division has been expanded to 10 teams this season. We will play each team twice for a total of 18 regular season games. At this point, we are unsure if there will be four or six playoff teams. We will have to be better than we were last year to play Post season baseball. Last year's runner up from the "A" divison, "Rox" is joining the newly formed Aluminum Division (there is a Wood division of 6 teams) as are the "Bad News Bears" and 2 other teams, at least one of which is a newly formed squad. The A's, Bison, Vandals, Free Agents and the Spartans (formerly known as The Black Sox) are all returning as well. We are currently planning two exhibition games as well. We will be playing the A's on March 14th and on the 21st we are still finalizing the details but we will face another division opponent. Locations are not yet finalize. On the 7th of March, we are looking to have an intersquad scrimmage with the BoCo at Monarch High, weather permitting. More details to come on these events. We will have a great opportunity to get ready for the season against good competition. Plus it gives us a couple extra games. Anyone who wants to throw sides in advance of these events, contact me and either Dwaine or I will gladly find time. It's almost time to play ball! Go Green Sox!

 With the season set to begin on March 28th, we are ready to begin practice, probably on Sunday, February 21st. More details to follow. This is also the day of the league wide Draft. As of now, we have commitments from the all players that finished the season with us last year. Please get your $225 to us (or talk to us if there is a problem) so that we can forgo the draft. We are excited to keep the team intact! As soon as we know the roster, we can decide then if we need to add a 15th player or not. I know a few of you guys have friends who want to play but at this point we don't know. They are always welcome to practice with us and, as we saw last season, we sometimes need guys to fill in. If they want to get on a team for sure, tell them about the draft. If your friend is interested in just pitching, let us know that as well. We are trying to arrange a practice game for March 7th, so we want to get a couple of practices in before hand. Some of us have been meeting on Mondays indoors, hitting and pitching, for the last couple of months. If you can't meet on Monday at 4pm at The Cages in Longmont, I encourage you to book some cage time there. It's pretty reasonable and a great workout. Check out the web site link on the left.
